Highlights


  • Our keynote speaker will be Tony Dagnone, former President and CEO of London Health Sciences Center and most recently interim President of Medbuy.
  • Hugh MacLeod is CEO of the Canadian Patient Safety Institute. CPSI is a not-for-profit organization that exists to raise awareness and facilitate implementation of ideas and best practices to achieve a transformation in patient safety.
  • Peggy Grall is an organizational change coach and an expert in Change Management.
  • Jennifer Kikkert of Horizon Health NB's Health Services Transformation Team provides leadership, expertise and support for the transformation and/or modernization of programs and services.
  • Nicole Ruttan-Simms of St Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton will talk about a new strategy for supply cost containment.
  • Dick O'Brien, a human relations consultant will talk about Navigating in the Fog of Change.
  • Hear Plexxus describe their business transformation journey and implementation of software solutions across their 11 hospital member system.
  • Toby O'Hara and Astrid Bowlby of HMMS, London Ontario will discuss the value their Surgical Warehouse brings to the ORs they serve and how they manage their interface between the item master and the surgical system.
  • Lorna Coutoulas, President of the Central Service Association of Ontario will share how a typical Medical Device Reprocessing Dept serves the supply chain needs and challenges of the OR.

Presentations by the Operating Room Nurses Association of Canada (ORNAC) will illustrate the supply chain challenges and opportunities in the OR which is one of the biggest spend areas of the hospital. Vendor Credentialing will be a leading topic of discussion at this conference, as HSCN explores the desire by providers and suppliers for a Canadian standard for this initiative.

Other presentations and topics, including the new HSCN educational offerings, will be presented. Format changes to allow different times to visit with suppliers are being developed and the opportunities to network will be further enhanced to give delegates maximum value for the time they have available.
