    e-Commerce in Canada’s Healthcare System Today and Tomorrow - March, 2004. A discussion paper on e-Commerce in the health industry. Industry Canada, in consultation with HSCN, conducted research to understand the status of eCommerce in healthcare. The results support the value of e-Commerce by reducing the cost of ordering, distribution and inventory management, and assist in reducing medical errors. E-commerce automates procurement and payment cycles and substantially reduces paper-based activity.
